On Friday in chapel at AST I was offered wonderful words of blessing and prayer as I prepared for this trip to Israel. Sr. Joan Campbell said that Israel is sometimes called the 5th Gospel. I looked that up later and sure enough, there it was, 4 Gospels, Matthew, Mark, Luke and John, must be read, the 5th Gospel, Israel, must be experienced and it will influence forever how you read the other 4.
I am so excited to have this chance to see for myself this place of holiness for 3 of the great world religions. It truly is a place of pilgrimage.
